ContextVision Expands Sales and R&D Team

CONTEXTVISION ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES AND APPLICATION AND R&D MANAGER

BOSTON, Mass. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden – October 11, 2011 – ContextVision, the software imaging partner for the most recognized medical imaging manufacturers worldwide, strengthens its organization with two strategic recruitments— Eskil Larsson, Director of Sales and Application, and Arto Järvinen, the newly appointed Research and Development Manager. The addition of Larsson and Järvinen further extends ContextVision’s deep management team of medical imaging and image processing veterans.

With more than 20 years experience in sales, marketing and consulting, Larsson brings a broad range of skills to his new position. Prior to ContextVision, Larsson served as the Marketing Manager and Research and Development Manager for the X-ray division at Siemens-Elema in Stockholm, Sweden where he managed the development of mammography X-ray systems. As Director of Sales and Application for ContextVision, Larsson will oversee all company-to-customer interactions and work with partners to effectively implement ContextVision’s medical imaging software.

Arto Järvinen started his career as an image processing application developer at ContextVision and is now, more than 25 years later, back as the Research and Development Manager. During those 25+ years, Järvinen held positions such as Operations Manager at consulting company and also worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Chief Quality Officer and Vice President at Sectra, a global PACS company, and business area manager for an imaging company focusing on preoperative planning.

In his new position, Järvinen will focus on creating and maintaining a productive environment for the highly-skilled research and development team while promoting and facilitating innovation. Additionally, Arto brings his experience as a management consultant to the ContextVision team.
