ContextVision to Showcase Image Enhancement, Dose Reduction at ECR 2016

Medical Image Enhancement Leader Presenting Research in Interventional Radiology and Product Demonstration

STOCKHOLM – Feb. 29, 2016 – ContextVision will be exhibiting its wide range of leading 2D/3D/4D image enhancement software at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria. Product showcases will include GOPiCE 2.0®, REALiCE®, US PLUSView™ 2.0 for ultrasound and GOPView XR2Plus for X-ray, including the popular Add-On products.

GOPiCE 2.0 is the second generation of ContextVision’s unique 3D/4D image enhancement software, providing OEMs with the best ultrasound image quality available. It is the only product on the market for real-time volumetric image processing for ultrasound. Recent upgrades to the software include the ability to optimize image quality for different visualization techniques, both MPR and rendered view; intelligent near- and far-field processing that guarantees excellent image quality throughout the whole volume; and, by utilizing information from adjacent planes in the 3D volume, processing and delivering a clearer image than ever seen before.

ContextVision will also showcase REALiCE, the company’s versatile visualization software incorporating GOPiCE 2.0. True-to-data rendering technology provides unique views of anatomies, including photo-like images, and supports early fetal diagnosis. With clearer imaging, standard fetus measurements become more accurate. Recently added to REALiCE are the Skeletal View, Surface Rendering View and Depth Color Coding View. The most up-to-date Photographic View for REALiCE will also be presented at ECR, which improves upon the innovations and clarity delivered in the first generation of the feature.

US PLUSView 2.0 is ContextVision’s fifth generation 2D enhancement product and the world’s leading 2D image enhancement for the entire range of clinical applications. To further strengthen the offering, the company has applied advanced temporal filtering, including motion compensation, an advancement that results in the highest image quality. Additionally, an upgraded doctors’ interface, enabling ultrasound manufacturers to adjust image quality according to customers’ preferences, or provide a user interface directly to clinicians, is now available. Another tool is the US PLUSView tuning tool that offers OEM flexibility in parameter optimization to satisfy various preferences.

GOPView XR2Plus is the image enhancement technology that sets ContextVision as the gold standard of image enhancement for X-Ray, with sophisticated adaptive technology for noise suppression; edge/contrast enhancement; and effective dynamic latitude compression. Exposure index software, which automatically monitors the digital X-Ray system to deliver accurate exposure measurements to patients, is also an available option. The tuning tools incorporated into GOPView XR2 Plus also allow manufacturers to maintain and improve the control of the image processing parameters for optimal customer satisfaction. Additionally, we offer a Doctors’ Interface where the manufacturers easily can include image enhancement controls for the end customer/hospital.

“ContextVision’s mission has long been to ensure the highest quality imaging and diagnostic confidence across modalities,” said Fredrik Palm, vice president, ContextVision. “Image quality continues to be of the outmost importance for our customers, and ContextVision is dedicated to driving innovation and development in order to enhance the clinical value of ultrasound and X-ray imaging.”

At ECR 2016, ContextVision will also participate in the poster exhibition of the European Society of Radiology’s EuroSafe Imaging radiation protection campaign. The company will exhibit research, which used ContextVision’s GOPView iRVUltra technology, identifying techniques for successfully reducing radiation dose while maintaining, if not improving, image quality.
