ContextVision Tackles Women’s Imaging Issues at ECR 2012

Exhibiting at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) from March 1-5, ContextVision, software imaging partner for the most recognized medical imaging manufacturers worldwide, presents its advanced technology portfolio focused on improving medical imaging in women’s health.

Issues plaguing the imaging industry include a radiologist shortage, mammography services misconceptions, insufficient patient image access and image transport concerns. The result is increased undiagnosed or misdiagnosed breast cancer cases. ContextVision’s cutting-edge mammography software to solve these issues includes:

– GOPView® Mammo2.0, especially valuable for dense breasts, making it easier for clinicians to quickly discern pathology, eliminating need for multiple views or follow-up imaging.
– Mammo PLUSViewCAD, a mammography workstation with Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) functionality that highlights suspicious areas such as micro-calcification clusters and masses in breast images.

ContextVision will also demonstrate its ultrasound image enhancement software, US PLUSViewTM and GOPiCE® US, which focus on technically difficult maternity patient; ContextVision’s Clinical Direct Focused Enhancement (DFE) technology enables feature/region specific enhancement, an OEM market first.

“ContextVision provides 2D, 3D and 4D ultrasound technology for superior breast, obstetrics and gynecology images,” said Professor Anders Selbing MD, Ph.D. Crucos Clinic, Linköping. “This technology removes speckle and other artifacts to extend clinicians’ vision to previously hidden planes such as regions of the fetal brain with real-time volumetric imaging.”
