ContextVision Strengthens its Interventional Radiology Focus

ContextVision appoints Donald Barry as product manager for X-Ray and Interventional Radiology

BOSTON, Mass. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden – ContextVision, software imaging partner for the most recognized medical imaging manufacturers worldwide, today announced the appointment of Donald Barry PhD as Product Manager for the company’s X-Ray division. In his new role, Barry will immediately focus on the launch of ContextVision’s Interventional Radiology product, expected to be released at RSNA in November 2008.

Barry brings almost 30 years of global medical imaging experience to ContextVision. He has held management positions in several medical imaging companies in the United States: general manager for Picker X-ray division, vice president of business development at Terason (ultrasound), and several positions at the Analogic Corporation, including group vice president. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry, a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Northwestern University, and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance. He will be based in ContextVision’s U.S. headquarter in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
